Lighting Leader
Xiamen International Conference Center

The Xiamen International Conference Center was the main venue for the 9th BRICS Summit in 2017. The conference center features two welcoming corridors on the east and west sides, serving as the "face" of the venue. The corridors are composed of 48 "G"-shaped copper beams, creating a grand and impressive structure. HUAYI was responsible for the lighting design of these two welcoming corridors, as well as the exterior facades on the east and west sides.

This lighting project involved more than a dozen steps from conceptual design to final effect verification, a process that would typically take six months. However, HUAYI completed it in under three months. The most challenging aspect was the lighting design for the corridors: the space left for fixture installation between the copper beams was narrow, and the project had stringent requirements for optical parameters. In the limited installation space, the lighting fixtures needed to be compact yet bright, with precise angle control, excellent anti-glare performance, and careful attention to illuminance and color consistency.

The HUAYI lighting team focused on the overall layout, paying special attention to the building’s aesthetics and ensuring that the lighting harmonized with the surrounding environment. Through repeated testing and improvement in accredited laboratories, Huayi’s fixtures excelled in areas such as environmental protection, energy efficiency, corrosion resistance, and IP protection. These high-quality products fully met the lighting requirements of the renovation project for the Xiamen International Conference Center.
